I live in Toronto, Canada and am a citizen of Canada and the Netherlands. I was lucky enough to spend years working in some of the most remote and austere parts of the world. Spending time in over 100 countries instilled in me a strong sense of urgency regarding the rapidly vanishing remote and pristine landscapes of the world, as well as the indigenous cultures found therein. These journeys continue to inspire me. My recent work finds inspiration in the familiar people and places of Southern Ontario, exploring the growing tension between humans and environment.
